Trophy Lake Trout like this one taken from Pipestone Lake in mid-July, are waiting for you. Early season lake trout fishing finds them in shallow water and traveling 10' - 20' down over deep water. Trolling in early season, jigging in mid-summer and back to some trolling and/or jigging late in season when they "get ready" for their fall spawn.
