We have nine log cabins that date back to the 1920's and 1930's. Rumor has it, and historical documents add credence to Al Capone having an interest in the property during that period. These cabins have been meticulously maintained over the years with modern comforts but also provide you with a chance to "go back in time". Originally, the site was established as the headquarters for a logging company. At Trail's End, you will fish the Clearwater/Pipestone Chain, which is 76 miles long, but with easy navigation and shelter from weather. We have access to over 10 other lakes by boat, mechanical portage or if you're into real adventure, foot portage. You will catch Walleye, Muskie, Lake Trout, Northern, & small mouth Bass as well as jumbo Perch. Feel free to bring your own boat or rent a Trail's End boat and motor as part of your package. We also have all the fuel, bait and fishing licenses you will need right at camp. A hearty fisherman's breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m. to all guests as our thank you for choosing Trail's End Lodge. We hope this will get you on the lake a bit quicker each day (no clean-up or dishes). So even if you have purchased a housekeeping package, join us for breakfast. Canned beans, vegetables, potatoes, fruit & spaghetti are provided for your shore lunch as part of your Trail's End package. Shore lunch kits also include: pots, pans, utensils and cooking oil, all packed in water resistant, plastic containers for you each day. And, we always have fresh baked bread for you to enjoy. Your day will end after a well earned dinner, maybe some more fishing and then a big bonfire each night to tell fish stories and meet new friends by. Large, comfortable chairs are provided to relax in, tell more stories and if you're lucky watch the Northern Lights. Please give us a call to discuss your trip and reservation. We also have a fly-in camp called Tang of the North Lodge that might interest you. Our goal is to make your trip to Trail's End Lodge a cherished memory, not just another fishing trip. Thanks again for your interest and we look forward to your call. Happy Fishing,
Kelvin & Shelly |
