A hot, home-cooked breakfast in our beautiful lodge and shore lunch fix'ins/kit are included for all Package Guests of Trails End Lodge each day.
All guests also have free use of all the additional ammenities we offer including canoes, paddle boat, horseshoes, bean toss, swings, picnic tables throughout 11 acres of resort property, bonfire and lounging chairs, gas barbecues at each cabin, fish cleaning facility with freezer wrap and freezers, free ice and our 60' X 24' recreation center that has a free pool table, ping pong table, stereo and plenty of chairs and tables for your use.

Leaning Pines cabin is a 2 story delux cabin located on Clearwater Lake shoreline. This cabin used to be the lodge for a previous resort and is located 50' from the lake with dockage/electrical for 4 boats right in front of the cabin. There is a large sunroom with table to seat 12 people, a large kitchen with commercial size gas stove/oven, multiple refrigerators, dishwasher, washer/dryer, 2.5 bathrooms, woodburning stove/fireplace for the cool nights and beautiful lawn on the waters edge for relaxing or playing a yard game. Drive right to your cabins front door and let the fun begin. Plenty of room at the cabin for all your cars and trailers.

Dockage and shore lunch kit are additional charges when on "Cabin Only" rate

Trails End Lodge Portage Pass Policy Change

Mechanical portage passes and package pricing have always been confusing for guests on Clearwater Lake. Be sure to check details of portage passes when looking at various resort packages. Packages that include portage passes most likely add cost to your trip. Fact is, if you do not use a portage a day or two or three of your trip because you decide to fish only on Clearwater Lake or bad weather keeps you near resort or you just need a day to relax with little or no fishing, you probably "paid" for a portage pass for that day anyway. The price of these portage passes is built into your package if stated, regardless if you use them or not. Also, the north and south mechanical portage charge a different rate now for the round-trip portage. North portage into Pipestone is $25 Canadian $ and south portage into Lake Despair and beyond is $20 Canadian $ per boat, per round-trip.

In an effort to keep our prices very reasonable and eliminate any confusion with these passes, we will NOT INCLUDE PORTAGE PASSES IN ANY PACKAGES at Trails End Lodge beginning with our 2010 season. Purchase them only as needed, saving the cost of the portage pass on days when you never leave Clearwater Lake. 1 pass per boat is required for each round-trip over mechanical portage.

You can purchase these passes at our lodge when needed or save money and pay Canadian funds at the portage to save the exchange rate when in US $ favor. Stop somewhere in Ft. Frances on way into Trails End Lodge and exchange US dollars for Canadian dollars. Portage operators will also accept US $ funds directly at the portage, but with no $ exchange.

We will sell the portage passes for $25.00 US dollar, good at either portage. The cost of the passes will be added to your bill and paid at check-out.
